With more jobs coming in, manually asking every customer for a review wasn’t sustainable.

 

In March 2024, Miller’s Tree Service partnered with NiceJob to scale their customer reviews alongside their expanding business. At the time, they had just over 100 Google reviews and were looking for a smarter, more automated way to consistently collect feedback.

  • Third reminder: SMS (Sent five days after the second)

      
  • Final reminder: Email (Sent five days after the third)


To make the process fully hands-off, they connected NiceJob with their QuickBooks integration which ensured review requests were triggered automatically after each completed job.

 

 

 

690% Review Growth in Google Reviews

 

When Miller’s Tree Service started using NiceJob in March 2024, they had 151 Google reviews.

 

Today, Miller’s Tree Service boasts 1,042 Google reviews and a 4.9-star rating, marking an impressive 690% growth in under two years.

The Power of Automated Follow-Ups

 

One of the biggest drivers of success was NiceJob’s automated multi-step reminder system.

 

Here’s how each step performed:

  • First SMS reminder: 342 reviews

      
  • Second reminder: 277 reviews

       
  • Third reminder: 205 reviews

        
  • Final reminder: 41 reviews

In total, 523 reviews came directly from automated follow-ups alone—reviews they would have missed without NiceJob’s 4-step reminder system.

 

In fact, after the second reminder, the total review count increased by 81%, and by the third reminder, it grew by another 33%, showing just how powerful timely follow-ups can be. While the final email reminder has delivered fewer reviews so far, it was only introduced recently. With an 11% conversion rate on the last reminder (based on review requests vs reviews received), it’s estimated they could have generated an additional 290 reviews if this last step had been active from the beginning.

 

Put simply, approximately half (50.2% to be exact) of Miller’s Tree Service’s total reviews were driven by follow-up reminders.
